About Us

ScreenLinks is the NSW regional screen industry office for the Mid North Coast and Armidale regions, representing the local film,TV and screen media industry. As well as promoting the area as a place to film, ScreenLinks is working to support and expand the local screen industry and to develop training opportunities in the region.

Our region is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the east and extends inland to Armidale, midway between Sydney and Brisbane, within easy access to airports at Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Taree and Armidale.

Its goal is to increase the economic value of the Mid North Coast and Armidale regions by promoting and developing the regions as film friendly destinations to attract film production; to develop and enhance the capabilities of the local film, television production, and digital media industry; and foster training opportunities within the region.

Strategy

  • To market the Mid North Coast-Armidale regions as preferred destinations for film, television and television commercial production.
  • Provide information services and assistance re locations, production and post production, to attract screen production to the region.
  • Develop film liaison programs within regional councils to increase understanding of and support for the film industry, to develop the regions as "film friendly" destinations.
  • Facilitate and develop local film, television and television commercial production and digital media capabilities.
  • Develop industry network clusters in each local council region.
  • Build local interest and participation in the film and TV industry through assistance and mentoring.
  • Create linkages to facilitate training opportunities in the region.

The Region

ScreenLinks encompasses the council areas of Greater Taree, Hastings, Kempsey, Nambucca, Bellingen, Coffs Harbour and Armidale - from Halidays Point in the South, North to Arrawarra and West to Armidale. ScreenLinks is based in Port Macquarie, in the centre of the region.

ScreenLinks is funded by ETC - Enterprise & Training Company Limited and the NSW State Government through the Department of State and Regional Development
